Lots of construction going on these past few days!  Besides the basement becoming habitable now (not finished by a long shot, but no longer a dangerous work zone), we now have walls on the Shed/Spare Room/Small House we’re building in the back yard.

When It Rains, It Pours

It seems the weather in Austin is either Flood Watch or Stage 7 Drought, with not too much in between.  And apparently that’s how it is at our house, at least with regards to Home Improvement Projects.    Despite being nails-deep in a shed build, we’ve got another major project underway.  I’ll add some photos soon, but until then, I’ll just leave you guessing…

Cool Tool : SketchUp

sketchup-logoI’ve played around with Google’s free 3D modeling application, SketchUp, since about version 4 or so. I would download the free version, play around a bit, get frustrated and forget about it until I noticed the next version was released and repeat.
