Lots of construction going on these past few days!  Besides the basement becoming habitable now (not finished by a long shot, but no longer a dangerous work zone), we now have walls on the Shed/Spare Room/Small House we’re building in the back yard.

It seems the weather in Austin is either Flood Watch or Stage 7 Drought, with not too much in between.  And apparently that’s how it is at our house, at least with regards to Home Improvement Projects.    Despite being nails-deep in a shed build, we’ve got another major project underway.  I’ll add some photos soon, but until then, I’ll just leave you guessing…

I’ve played around with Google’s free 3D modeling application, SketchUp, since about version 4 or so. I would download the free version, play around a bit, get frustrated and forget about it until I noticed the next version was released and repeat.
