April 4th Garden Update

Garden update from  April 4th – a bit late in coming, the next one will be quicker.

We had a cold night or two (almost freezing, but not quite) that browned quite a few of the lemon basil leaves, but the tomato plants seem to be doing quite well.  The poor pepper plant seems stuck at nearly the same size as when we planted it.

Remote Control Lighting

We moved earlier this year.  In many, many ways, it was a big step up from the old house.  However, one decidedly step down was going from a house with a 2 car garage to a house with a very narrow carport.  Besides the obvious differences, there was a major annoyance.  The carport didn’t have any lights.

Wild Kingdom Still Going Strong

I wasn’t sure if the dead tree in the backyard still was home to our furry, yet extremely ugly, family of ‘possums, but I caught this guy (or gal – you can inspect the photo, as for me, I’ll pass) heading out for a night on the town a couple of nights ago.  Hopefully they won’t move into the basement like that unfortunate family of raccoons did over the summer.

Sewer Pit : The Finale (I hope)

I finally had a weekend with good weather, some free time and a clear idea of what needed to be done with the pit. Unfortunately I had no idea how to do it or what stuff I needed.  After this weekend, the truck can probably find Home Depot without me now.
