Shed Home Stretch

We’re getting close to the finish line on the shed.  Well, at least with the actual building, still need to run electrical, do all of the wiring, move everything in, build a loft for storage… ok, I should just admit it, I’ll never be done :-?

Now that I’ve overwhelmed myself with my ever-expanding todo list, I’ll take a moment or two to enjoy what has already been done.  A couple of weeks ago we finished up all of the siding and trim and soffit and everything.   We were finally done nailing things!

Protected from the elements!

This is how it sat for a while.  Other obligations and my lack of purchasing paint prevented the next step.  But this past weekend, the stars aligned and paint was purchased.  I borrowed a paint sprayer from a friend at work and got to spraying.  An hour or two later and I had a fully gray shed!   I started the trim work by hand,  but ran out of gas after the windows, door and about 3 feet of the roof trim.  Should be able to finish it up in a couple of hours over the next few weeks.

Pretend that there is white all they way around the top. That's what I do.

2 additions?! I’m pretty worn out from just building my little backyard retreat … I mean ‘shed’.

But, I’ll be glad to help. As soon as I finish up with the basement remodel, painting and setting up the nursery, tearing down and building a new deck, landscaping the backyard…. hmm.. how does 2015 or 2016 sound? I should be available by then!
