To: ericmoon...

I am interested in making the mod to convert the receiver from the
latch mode to a momentary contact so I can trigger a sound module
on. The module only needs a momentary contact to work properly.

While reading the various blog responses about this item it seems that there
must be a circuit diagram that I don't have. For example: there are several
references to pin 12 and pin 17 as well as the "common pin of the relay". The
board I have has nothing on it about these locations. Is there a circuit
diagram available?

Is there a pic of the trace cut that needs to be made?

Thank you,
Joe

Not Sure if you figured it out yet, but I saw your question on all electronics.. take a look at this page : http://www.electronics-tutorials.ws/transistor/tran_7.html - last item is exactly what you are looking for : Complementary MOSFET Motor Controller

I'm not sure exactly what you are looking to do, is it something like this circuit would do? : http://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp#ctm

Thanks for posting this. I need to use this or one like it, but need it to be more of a momentary switch (more like the garage remote) and NOT the latch set up as this is. I have read that it can be changed from the Latch set up but couldn't understand the instructions...have you tried it or do you know how (i figured with the clarity of your website/post you would be the one to ask).
Thanks,
Josh

Hi Scott, yes, it's finished and in use. It actually works quite well, and we are able to turn the lights on and off from about 150 yards away.

I've also bought another of the same kits and changed the transmitter addresses so we have 4 key-chain switches and they work great as well.

Just haven't got around to posting it up here yet...

Hello,
I'm interested in making this project also.
Have you finished it yet?
