Back and Jet-lagged

We’ve made it back safe from the other side of the planet. We had an outstanding trip and I’ll be writing more about it soon, but right now I’m fighting some mean jet-lag.

Sleep patterns since around 5PM Friday (all days and times are CST):
Friday 5pm through Sat 5pm -> on planes, slept maybe 2 hours broken up into 3 min sections. I just can’t sleep in a seated position.

Sat 5pm through Sat 11pm -> Home, but no sleep. The plan was to attempt to get back on schedule immediately.

Sat 11pm though Sun 1:45pm -> 14.75 (!) hours of sleep. Straight.  Except for the 3 minutes when our lost luggage got delivered at 5AM.  So much for getting back on schedule.

Sun 1:45pm through right now ->maybe 1/2 hr of sleep around 1am this morning. I had a dream about a bat flying at my head right after I fell asleep, and that was the end of my sleep for the night.

We’ll see how long I can function today. I would feel bad about leaving early, but in reality, I’ve been working since about 2:30AM when I finally gave up and opened up the laptop.
